Welcome! I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.
As a retired teacher, a devoted husband, a father, and now a grandfather—a role I treasure deeply—I find immense joy in watching a new generation learn and grow. My life has been filled with journeys, both literal and figurative. From exploring the seas on countless cruises to navigating the challenges of raising a family and deepening my faith, I’ve found meaning in both the highs and lows of each path I’ve walked.
Life is full of extraordinary stories hidden in everyday moments, and I’m excited to share how these experiences have transformed my understanding of God, myself, and the world around me.
For over 25 years, I taught economics—a subject that, on the surface, is all about numbers and systems. But one moment I’ll never forget is when a struggling student finally grasped how economics applied to real life, realizing the lessons mirrored his own determination to succeed. Memories like these remind me that teaching isn’t just about theory; it’s about showing students how to approach life with resilience, curiosity, and integrity.
My own path has been one of grit and faith. I started college for the first time at 32, already a husband and father of three. Those years were filled with financial and personal challenges, teaching me that true strength comes from pressing on—even when the future feels unclear. These lessons continue to shape not only my writing but also how I view the world.
Writing has become my way of capturing life’s small yet profound moments—those often overlooked but rich with meaning. I believe every happening, whether great or small, carries a story worth telling. My reflections are candid and honest, focusing on faith, resilience, and the beauty found in ordinary days. Here, you’ll find stories of family, teaching, laughter, and even trials—all shared in the hope of offering a bit of light and encouragement.
I approach writing much like I approached teaching: with a desire to connect, inspire, and offer insights that are both practical and uplifting. And yes, I occasionally weave in humor, drawing from the joys of grandparenthood or the quirks of favorite TV characters.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. I hope these reflections encourage you to notice God’s goodness in your own everyday life. As you explore, reflect, and maybe even share your own stories, my prayer is that you’ll find reminders of His presence in the ordinary—and inspiration to trust Him more deeply along the way.
